The Pascal DCT (Swiss Microtechnology, Switzerland) uses a direct transcorneal method to measure the IOP (Figure). The device is slit lamp mounted, similar to GAT. The tonometer tip contact surface is concave. When placed on the eye, the cornea takes the contour of the tip so that the corneal mechanical effects on IOP measurement are reduced. The DCT gathers 100 IOP readings per second, thus recording dynamic IOP. Gives an estimation of ocular pulsatility i.e. perfusion? Optometry Today, Feb. 2005
