Ludmila Voitova, a teacher of Mathematics, improved her skills in CLIL (Content and
Language Integrated Learning) application after taking part in the course “Teaching
Effectively through the Medium of English (CLIL), English language, education
and culture for teachers of other subjects” in the United Kingdom.
During the course she learned new CLIL approaches and obtained useful materials.
The participants of the course had also observed 8 lessons of Mathematics in different
schools in Wales.
Back in Latvia, Ludmila Voitova has been approved as a trainer to deliver master
classes on CLIL for other teachers and she already shared her experience with
teachers in other schools by giving an open lesson of Mathematics in another region
of Latvia. The new contacts allowed the teacher to continue international cooperation
by developing European projects.
