Description:
The main objective of this project is to foster the interest and take-up of science
and technology among the European students from 12 to 18 years old. The project
aims at increasing the motivation of students to study science and technology, and
to contributing to the improvement and development of key competences. The project
is working on creation of specific teacher training methods and programmes,
addressed to current and future science and technology teachers.
The STIMULA project encourages the active involvement of the world of work
(universities, research and innovation centres and companies) in educational
activities. The core of the project focuses on designing, implementing and validating
new educational initiatives. The project is testing diverse curriculum extending
initiatives, aimed at fostering students' interest in science and technology and their
entrepreneurial spirit. The gap between schools and the world of work is bridged
through different networking models established between them.
