In only their second season in the BIG EAST<br />
Conference a year ago, the Cardinals reached<br />
new heights with their first BCS appearance against Wake Forest<br />
in the FedEx Orange Bowl.<br />
Since 1998, the Cardinals have played in six different bowls and<br />
in five different states, including Florida, Tennessee, Alabama,<br />
Idaho and Michigan.<br />
Louisville’s fan support at bowl games is also unparalleled. Cardinal<br />
fans have shown the willingness to traveling far and wide to<br />
support the squad. At the Orange Bowl last year, Louisville fans<br />
travelled in excess of 30,000 to support the Cardinals, and approximately<br />
25,000 have made the trips to Jacksonville in 2006<br />
and Memphis in 2004.<br />
