Head coach Steve Kragthorpe stresses the importance of
being a successful student-athlete. Not only is it
important to be winners on the field, but the Cardinals will
also be winners in the classroom.

The Woodruff Academic Center is named after Cardinal and Pittsburgh Steeler great
Dwayne Woodruff. The mission of the Woodruff Academic Center is to provide academic
support, academic counseling, promote community services and civic responsibility.
2006-07 Highlights:
• Amobie Okoye and William Gay graduated in 3 ½ years
• All NFL drafted players graduated in 2006-07
• Daniel Barlowe and Harry Douglas were spring 2007 graduates
• Daniel Barlowe was awarded the Outstanding Senior for Service and Leadership in the
Health and Sport Sciences Department. Each year the department faculty presents this award
to honor one outstanding graduating senior. Daniel graduated May 2007 Magna Cum
Laude.
