STEVE ADAMS<br />
VIDEO ASSISTANT<br />
• First Season<br />
Steve Adams joins the Louisville coaching staff<br />
after serving the past three seasons as an assistant<br />
with the defensive secondary at Western Kentucky<br />
University. Adams helped coach the Hilltoppers to<br />
three consecutive winning seasons and the NCAA I-<br />
AA Playoffs in 2004.<br />
Adams re-entered the coaching profession after working in marketing<br />
following his graduation from WKU. He spent the 2000 season as an assistant at<br />
Muhlenberg South (Ky.) High School, working with both defensive backs and<br />
wide receivers.<br />
A three-year letterwinner from 1997-99, Adams earned his bachelor’s<br />
degree from WKU in 2000. Western finished 10-2 and advanced to the<br />
quarterfinals of the NCAA Division I-AA playoffs in 1997, and had a 7-4 record<br />
the following year. The Hilltoppers were ranked in the final top 25 polls in each<br />
of those seasons.<br />
Adams is a 1995 graduate of Muhlenberg South High School.<br />
CHIP LONG<br />
OFFENSIVE<br />
GRADUATE ASSISTANT<br />
• Second Season<br />
Chip Long begins his second season as a<br />
graduate assistant at the University of Louisville.<br />
Long was a four-year letterwinner at the<br />
University of North Alabama. He was a Division II<br />
All-American at wide receiver and tight end in 2005<br />
and was a first team All-South Region selection and first team All-Gulf-South<br />
Conference.<br />
A native of Birmingham, Ala., Long graduated from North Alabama<br />
with a degree in history with a minor in psychology and business administration.<br />
TROY STUBBS<br />
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT<br />
• Second Season<br />
Troy Stubbs begins his first season as an<br />
administrative assistant with University of Louisville<br />
football program. Stubbs <strong>com</strong>es to Louisville after<br />
serving four years at an investment firm in Memphis,<br />
Tenn. Stubbs first attended the United Air Force<br />
Academy in 1996-97 before serving a two-year mission. played wide receiver at<br />
the United States Air Force Academy. He transfered to Alabama where he recieved<br />
a bachelor of science in Commerce and Business Administration from Alabama in<br />
December 2002 with a double major in International Finance and Russian. He’s<br />
currently working on his master’s degree in sports administration at the University<br />
of Louisville. He and his wife, Jenny have two children, Isaac (5) and Elsa (2).<br />

DEREK OSWALT<br />

• Fourth Season<br />
Derek Oswalt begins his fourth season with the<br />
Cardinal football staff and his second as the defensive<br />
graduate assistant. Last season, Oswalt spent the year<br />
as the graduate video assistant.<br />
Before joining the U of L staff, he spent two<br />
seasons at Thomas More College, coaching the<br />
defensive line.<br />
Collegiately, he played defensive line at Hanover College, where he was<br />
a two-year letterwinner and a two-time Academic All-Conference honoree.<br />
CHUCK HALL<br />
DIRECTOR OF EQUIPMENT<br />
OPERATIONS<br />
• Eighth Season<br />
Chuck Hall begins his eighth season with the<br />
Cardinal Athletic Department and his fifth as<br />
director of athletic equipment operations.<br />
Hall spent the 2000 season as U of L’s assistant<br />
equipment manager and took over the head post<br />
prior to the 2001 campaign.<br />
A 1998 graduate of Kansas State University, Hall served as a student<br />
equipment manager for the Wildcats from 1995-1998.<br />
Following his graduation, Hall was hired as a full-time assistant by KSU.<br />
Along with his work at Kansas State, Hall served a pair of summer internships<br />
with the Washington Redskins and one with the San Diego Chargers.<br />
Born November 29, 1973, Hall is married to the former Leslie Begshaw.<br />
DAVID SPINA<br />
DIRECTOR OF VIDEO<br />
OPERATIONS<br />
• Ninth Season<br />
David Spina enters his ninth season at the helm of<br />
the Cardinal football video department.<br />
As director of video operations, Spina is<br />
responsible for the filming and editing of all<br />
football related video including practice and<br />
game footage.<br />
Spina joined the U of L staff in 1998 after<br />
spending his entire career as a member of the Arizona Wildcat staff. He spent<br />
the 1990-96 seasons as a videographer before being promoted to senior<br />
videographer in ’96.<br />
Spina is married to the former Darlyne Dunlap and are the parents of a<br />
daughter, Danika.<br />
