<strong>the</strong>ir reasons for applying or not applying certain strategies. That is, <strong>the</strong> researchers<br />

should discern <strong>the</strong> relationship between genders and students’ preferred strategy<br />

application. This study also may explore <strong>the</strong> impact <strong>of</strong> diverse cultures on each<br />

gender’s category anticipation and inflexible impression, which influence students’<br />

willingness <strong>to</strong> apply communication strategies. The results <strong>of</strong> this study may provide<br />

<strong>the</strong> curriculum designers and <strong>the</strong> language learners with a more efficient course<br />

schedule, which is planned based on <strong>the</strong> students’ nature and willingness.<br />

Communication Strategy in a Working Situation<br />

In <strong>the</strong> findings from <strong>the</strong> fifth research question, two students (Tien Long and<br />

Ling Mei) mentioned <strong>the</strong>ir feelings <strong>of</strong> cooperation strategies <strong>to</strong> be used in <strong>the</strong><br />

working situation. Tien Long and Ling Mei had opposite opinions about using it in a<br />

working situation. Tien Long expressed that in <strong>the</strong> working situation, <strong>the</strong> cooperation<br />

strategy should be applied more <strong>of</strong>ten in order <strong>to</strong> enhance <strong>the</strong> effect <strong>of</strong> working<br />

<strong>to</strong>ge<strong>the</strong>r. On <strong>the</strong> contrary, Ling Mei stated <strong>the</strong> cooperation strategy should be<br />

advisable only at school, but not in a vying working situation. Ling Mei felt that if a<br />

person appeals for help from his/her supervisors or colleagues in a working situation,<br />

it establishes an impression <strong>of</strong> low-level pr<strong>of</strong>iciency for that person.<br />

Based on this controversy, this study recommends that research should be<br />

conducted through surveying jobholders and bosses in an <strong>of</strong>fice or in an occupation<br />

field in order <strong>to</strong> discover findings closer <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> truths. This suggested study would<br />

find out, “Would a superior feel that his employee is inept because s/he asks her/ his<br />

colleagues words or things s/he does not know?” Fur<strong>the</strong>rmore, “If a colleague would<br />

give a hand <strong>to</strong> his/her peers in order <strong>to</strong> complete <strong>the</strong>ir tasks when <strong>the</strong>y appeal for<br />

assistance on unknown language or information, would <strong>the</strong>y assume that it is a<br />
