application <strong>of</strong> communication strategies, <strong>the</strong> researcher believes <strong>the</strong>y need <strong>to</strong> be<br />

conducted in Taiwan in <strong>the</strong> future <strong>to</strong> contribute <strong>the</strong> results <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> administra<strong>to</strong>rs and<br />

curriculum designers for Taiwanese EFL courses. The <strong>to</strong>pics suggested were: 1. <strong>the</strong><br />

relationship between different variables and strategy application, 2. acceptance <strong>of</strong><br />

non-native like speeches, 3. training pedagogies, 4. <strong>the</strong> relation <strong>of</strong> pr<strong>of</strong>iciency level<br />

and strategy application, 5. <strong>the</strong> correlation between <strong>the</strong> gender and strategy<br />

application, 6. <strong>the</strong> application <strong>of</strong> cooperation strategy in working situation.<br />

Different Variables in <strong>the</strong> Learners and Trainers<br />

This study investigated <strong>the</strong> students’ perceptions for each strategy from<br />

various aspects that <strong>the</strong> students provided. It might be very useful <strong>to</strong> collect students’<br />

background information such as <strong>the</strong>ir years <strong>of</strong> learning English, motivation <strong>of</strong><br />

learning English, career plans, and English pr<strong>of</strong>iciency expectation, and examine<br />

how <strong>the</strong>se variables affect <strong>the</strong> students’ responses regarding <strong>the</strong>ir feelings. O<strong>the</strong>r<br />

diverse variables that might lead <strong>the</strong> students’ perceptions <strong>to</strong> be different would be<br />

<strong>the</strong> trainers’ attitudes, personalities, gender, and age that affect <strong>the</strong> ways learners<br />

learn and use <strong>the</strong> strategies.<br />

Based on a larger population that <strong>of</strong>fered more variables in students, trainers<br />

would aid <strong>the</strong> researchers <strong>to</strong> distinguish <strong>the</strong> following issues: 1. “Could <strong>the</strong>se<br />

variables in students and <strong>the</strong> trainer have led <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> students’ divergent angle <strong>to</strong> see<br />

communication strategies?” 2. “Could <strong>the</strong>se variables in trainers cause <strong>the</strong> students <strong>to</strong><br />

use <strong>the</strong> communication strategies with different characteristics?” Based on a more<br />

complete project with more variables, <strong>the</strong> various research findings can be expected,<br />

which would contribute as suggestions for English educa<strong>to</strong>rs and administra<strong>to</strong>rs who<br />

design <strong>the</strong> curriculum for conversation courses. The reason is that <strong>the</strong> findings given<br />
