Level of qualification BSc (Bachelor of Science) OPTOMETRY Graduates in the specialist Optomety BSc Programme will be able to: – recognise and evaluate disorders of the eye and disturbances of eye growth, – determine visual acuity objectively and subjectively, examine the refractive medium, refractive ability, errors of refraction, the way eye muscles function, the ability of heterophoria and convergence, and binocular vision, examine the chamber of the eye, crystalline lens, vitreous humour and the eye fundus with the help of a slit lamp, estimate ocular tension, – prescribe the necessary lens or contact lenses after having done the appropriate examination to correct ocular refraction, – use their clinical and nursing knowledge during their daily activities, – actively participate in improving the culture of vision in individuals, communities and general population, – conduct and evaluate screening tests, – conduct business or be engaged in commercial jobs relying on legal measures. Programme Physiotherapy programme Aim of training The master programme prepares students for research, physiotherapy education and management of physiotherapy practices. The Masters Degree in Physiotherapy is a three-semester programme consisting of classroom teaching, self-learning activities and clinical education. In the first part of the master programme theoretical basis of physiotherapy is refreshed along with research methodology, deep physiological knowledge and biostatistics. The second part of the studies focuses on the scientific evaluation of physiotherapy practice. The study programme includes seminars, journal reviews, case presentations, case studies ans classroom teaching.
