Training system
Hungary, as a member of the European Union, belongs to the unified European Higher Education
Area, which in principal follows the British and American multi-cycle (bachelor, master and
doctorate) training system.
The qualifications are comparable and recognised all around Europe. In this system it is much
easier for students, lecturers and researchers to travel and build international relations, moreover,
as citizens of the European Union they can continue their studies and plan their future as
employees or entrepreneurs in each member state.
These opportunities open up a wider field also for non-European citizens studying in Hungary, since
the possibilities of internal mobility inside the unified Europe are based on the training channels
and close relationships between countries, in the labour market and among institutions.
