SOCIOLOGY<br />

Course objectives:<br />

To introduce to the students the concepts of<br />

the social distribution of health and illness,<br />

the causes and consequences of health status inequalities,<br />

the role of psychosocial factors in health care,<br />

the social phenomena occurring in healing,<br />

the social situation of medicine, and<br />

the social embeddedness of the health care system.<br />

Semester grade: The result of the semi-final and home paper.<br />

Justifying absence from the exam: A telephone message to the secretary of the Institute.<br />
