COMPULSORY SUMMER PRACTICE<br />

Program<br />

Four weeks: 35 hours/week; min. 6 max. 8 hours/day.<br />

The aim of summer practical training: to deepen theoretical and practical knowledge of<br />

Pharmaceutical Technology learnt in the 3rd year; adaptation of basic knowledge (chemistry,<br />

physics, colloidics, physiology etc.) to the practical work in pharmacies.<br />

Duties and respects:<br />

1. Appreciation of prescriptions, reading of prescriptions (Formula Magistralis, Formula<br />

Normales, Formula Originalis). The forms of dispensing, dose calculating etc. Preparation of<br />

medicaments (Formula Magistralis) under supervision of the instructing pharmacist.<br />

2. Prescriptions and regulations of narcotics<br />

3. Various dosage forms (solutions, suspensions, emulsions, ointments, solid dosage forms<br />

etc.), their preparation.<br />

4. Practising of the pharmaceutical technological manipulations, procedures etc.<br />

5. Aseptic production of medicaments. Main technological steps.<br />

6. Guidelines for the preparation of incompatible drugs. Preparation of these medicaments.<br />

7. Health accessories.<br />

8. Control of medicines and raw materials in the pharmacy. Administration in the pharmacy.<br />

9. Organization of drug supply.<br />

Important note: Document certifying the completion of the practice must be handed in<br />

at registration! Registration to the next year is not allowed without it!<br />
