1. The Diagnostic method. Medical and dental history. The importance of “Oral diagnosis”.<br />

2. Clinical evaluation. Extraoral and intraoral physical examination. Stomato-oncological<br />

screening.<br />

3. Additional methods of examination. Referrals and consultations. Clinical evaluation by<br />

laboratory methods.<br />

4. Molecular oral Diagnostics<br />

5. Physical assessment. Risk factors. Modification of the dental treatment planning for<br />

patients with compromised health.<br />

6. New imaging methods in dentistry. Making decisions in dental radiology.<br />

7. Up-to-date diagnosis of the periodontal tissues.<br />

8. Documentation. The use of computers in the dental office. Special softwares in dentistry.<br />

9. Diagnosis of the salivary glands.<br />

10. Diagnosis of the TMJ disorders and Differential diagnosis of orofacial pain<br />

11. Clinical evaluation of dental conditions, and malocclusion<br />

13. Diagnosis and differential diagnosis of maxillo-facial soft tissues. Part II.: Ulcers and<br />

Rules of practices<br />

Activity of the students:<br />

1. Clinical evaluation and registration of medical and dental conditions, extraoral and<br />

intraoral examination of the patients, stomato-oncological cheque-up. Registration of<br />

medical and dental history.<br />

2. Documentation of the above, taking oral photos, and preparing diagnostic casts.<br />

3. Making decisions about additional diagnostic methods, X-ray examinations, referrals and<br />

consultations.<br />

4. Making diagnosis and complete preliminary treatment planning.<br />

5. Preparing written case-demonstrations including history, clinical finding, diagnosis,<br />

preliminary treatment plan and conclusions.<br />

6. Written case demonstrations should be made at home, with the use of the students notes<br />

in the practice. Students are responsible for and should take great care about the patients<br />

personal rights. No personal data, medical certificate, x-ray pictures or other relevant
