Blood and lymphoid organs. Benign and malignant disorders of AUTOPSY
lymphoid cells. Hodgkin’s disease. Disorders of the spleen.
Disorders of the mononuclear phagocyte system. Acute and AUTOPSY
chronic myeloproliferative syndromes.
Endocrine system. AUTOPSY
Gallbladder and extrahepatic bile ducts. Pancreas. Diabetes. HISTOLOGY
Head and neck pathology. AUTOPSY

SEMESTER EXAMINATION (SEMIFINAL)
The semifinal examination at the end of the first semester will be a written test. Three different
times for the test writing can be chosen. Students are requested to announce the time they have
chosen to the tutor of the 1st Institute of Pathology and Experimental Cancer Research until mid –
December. Students who have failed the exam on one occasion can retake the exam on the next
test-writing day, at least one week from the first trial.
Note: Lectures will be held in the lecture hall of the 1st Institute
of Pathology and Experimental Cancer Research.
Autopsy and Histopathology practices will be held in the
1st Institute of Pathology and Experimental Cancer Research.
During the histopathology exercises 100 slides will be studied.
The list of slides will be available at the beginning of the semester.
The maximum number of absences in a semester is 3.
More than 3 absences invalidate the semester.
During the semester two midterm examinations should be passed.
