Sealed item rate tenders on prescribed form are hereby invited for and on behalf of NHPC
Ltd. from the contractors of appropriate class registered with CPWD/MES/Railways/ State PWD/any
other Govt. /Semi Govt. Department or Public Undertaking having sufficient experience for the below
mentioned work:

1. Prospective tenderers are invited to purchase tender documents from the Office of Manager
(P&C), Parbati Hydroelectric Project Stage-II, Nagwain, Distt. Mandi (H.P.) Pin: 175 121, by remitting
Rs.500/- (Rs.600/- if requested by post/Courier) as tender fee in shape of Demand Draft/Banker’s
Cheque in favour of NHPC Limited, payable at SBI, Bhuntar (Code 3633). Tender documents can
also be downloaded from NHPC web site http://www.nhpcindia.com. However the tenderer has to
deposit non-refundable payment of Rs. 500/-(Rupees five hundred only) towards the cost of tender
documents through Demand Draft/banker’s cheque in favour of NHPC Ltd. payable at SBI, Bhuntar
(Code 3633) (Please note that cash remittance is not acceptable).
The prospective tenderers shall fulfill the following eligibility criteria and shall have to produce
self-attested copies of the following documents along with tender documents:
(i) Registration in appropriate class with CPWD/MES/State PWD/ /Railways/Central
or State PSUs /any other Government Departments.
(ii) Pan No.EPF Registration No.
(iii) Experience of having executed a similar work of single value not less than the
amount equal to 80% of the estimated cost OR two works costing not less than
the amount equal to 50% each of the estimated cost OR three works costing not
less than the amount equal to 40% each of the estimated cost, during the last
five years ending January 2009.
iv) Average annual turnover during the last three years ending 31st March of the
previous financial year should be at least 30% of the estimated cost of respective
work.
v) In case of any information/document found false or fake as furnished by the
tenderer then NHPC reserves the right to cancel the tender at any time without

assigning any reason thereof and forfeit the EMD/Security deposit of the work. In
addition to above, tenderer shall be debarred for minimum one year.
Tenders for the work shall be accompanied with Tender document, EMD with technical
literature, if any to be sealed in envelope No.1 & Price bid sealed in envelope No. 2
separately and both envelopes shall be enclosed in an outer envelope mentioning the
Name of work and Pkg No.
In case of non fulfilling the aforesaid, tender shall be treated as non responsive.
NHPC shall not be responsible for postal delay or loss in transit of the tender documents sent
through post/courier.
NHPC reserves the right to reject any tender without assigning any reason thereof. Other
terms & conditions are given in the tender document.
