ROBIN KAY SCHAAB
Married: Daniel J. Gould UHS class of 68 for 38 years
GOULD
Children: 2; Grandchildren 5 - Taylor (8), Hunter (5), Levi (5) he is a Metcalf Wildcat, Cole
(2) and Frank Jr. (1).
Currently: Still working at ISU. Dan still has his masonry business. We are preparing for
retirement by being a snowbirds in Venice, Florida the month of February. The rest of
the year we spend as much time as we can enjoying the company of our kids and
grandkids.
Favorite Memories: I have very fond memories of my high school years (well maybe not
the schoolwork part). My favorite memory is of class nights – the best tradition at U-
High! Had lots of fun tooling the Gag, going to all school parties, and at slumber parties.
Songs that make me sing: I am still a huge Elvis Presley fan, but love the powerful music
of Janis Joplin Piece of My Heart, Cry Baby, Summertime. I still have my Janis album, but
don’t have anything to play it on anymore.
Interesting stuff about the last 40 years: I finished my baccalaureate in 1998 and
received my masters in History in 2000 (wouldn’t Miss Alexander be surprised?) Trivia: I
have worked on my genealogy and discovered I am a sixth cousin once removed from
Garth Brooks…. Obviously he got all the family musical talent because I didn’t get any!
Words of Wisdom: “Dance like nobody’s watching; love like you’ve never been hurt; sing
like nobody’s listening; live like it’s heaven on earth.” – Mark Twain
