DESCRIPTION: These gardens grow on rocky areas. Several species of sponges abundantly appear as<br />
part of this community (Cliona celata, Artemisina transiens, Axinella spp., Tedania urgorrii, Pachymatisma<br />
johnstonia). In some areas, Cliona celata and/or Artemisina transiens and/or Axinella sp. are so abundant<br />
that together with Eunicella verrucosa form mixed fields of sponges and gorgonians.<br />
Paramuricea grayi is also very dense in some areas.<br />
DEPTH: 48 - 65 m<br />
TYPE OF SUBSTRATE: Rocky bottom, with no sediment.<br />
