Introduction

Fairbrother,1999).
Poultry is one of the most reservoir of salmonellosis causing great
losses and hazards to public health (El-Sayed, 1997).
Microbial species and strains have different degrees of
susceptibility to different chemotherapeutic agents. Moreover, the
susceptibility of a microorganism can be changed with time even
during therapy with a specific drug. Thus a specialist must know the
sensitivities of the pathogen before treatment to be started (Tortora et
al.,2002).
Aim of the work
The purpose of this work is to achieve the following points:
1-Isolation and biochemical identification of pathogenic bacteria
of Enterobacteriaceae group.
2- Serotyping of the isolated bacteria .
3-Study the sensitivity of isolates to antimicrobial substances
using disc diffusion method.
4- Study the pathogenicity of isolates in broiler.
