1/2(50%) Salmonella broiler isolates was sensitive to colistin,
meanwhile Larkin et al.,(2004) who recorded activity percentage
64.4% of colistin. Our lower results might be due to few obtained
strains of salmonellae.
1/2(50%) Salmonella broiler isolates was sensitive to
doxycyclin. This result agreed Saleh (2007), who record 96.6%
resistance percentage to doxycyclin. Kumar et al.,(2003) who reported
resistance percentage 58.8% for doxycyclin, on the other hand, and all
isolates were resistant to doxycyclin as reported by Hegazy (1991).
Salmonella broiler isolates were sensitive to erythromycin. This
result agreed with Kondrachi (1976) who mentioned that most strains
were sensitive to erythromycin, neomycin, Similar result was obtained
by Osman (1992) who reported that erythromycin sensitivity
percentage was 73.8% ,meanwhile disagreed with Abbass (1993) who
reported that erythromycin is not effective against E.coli.
1/2(50%) Salmonella broiler isolates was sensitive to rifampicin
this result agreed with that of Molla et al.,(1999) who found that only
4 antimicrobials (gentamycin, kanamycin, rifampicin and
sulphamethazole/ trimethoprime) were effective against Salmonella
isolates.
Salmonella broiler isolates were sensitive to streptomycin,
meanwhile Kumar et al.,(2003) reported resistance percentage
