Dignostic E.coli polyvalent O antisera revealed O1,<br />
O135 , O157 and O78 serotypes in some broiler , layers , and<br />
one day old chicks.<br />
4.7-Results of antibiogram on isolates from one day old<br />
chicks:<br />
Testing chemotherapeutic agents including Cefotaxime,<br />
Ciprofloxacin, Amoxycyclin, Gentamycin, (Sulpamethoxazole,<br />
Trimethoprim), <strong>Coli</strong>stin, Erythromycin, Rifmpicin, Streptomycin<br />
and Doxycycline against biotyped isolates (table 7) showed<br />
that:-<br />
Only the isolate from Asher1 farm was sensitive to all<br />
drugs, Asher3 farm isolate was sensitive to all drugs except<br />
(Sulpa-methoxazole, Trimethoprim), Abohegazy farm isolate<br />
was sensitive to all drugs except to (Sulpamethoxazole,<br />
Trimethoprim), Asher4 farm isolate was resistant to seven<br />
drugs and sensitive only to three drugs (Cefotaxime,<br />
Ciprofloxacin and <strong>Coli</strong>stin).<br />
The results also showed that all the isolates were<br />
sensitive to Cefotaxime and Ciprofloxacin also all farms<br />
isolates were sensitive to colistin except the isolate from<br />
Mansoura1 farm.<br />
