3-Results of antibiogram on biotypes from one day old chicks, broiler and
layers showed that all the isolates were sensitive to cefotaxime and
ciprofloxacin, also all one day old chicks isolates were sensitive to colistin
except one isolate from only one farm, meanwhile the isolates from all layer
farms were resistant to colistin except only two farms and there was
varying resistance to (Sulphamethazole, trimethoprime), Colistin and
Spectam in broiler isolates.
4-Sensitivity Pattern of layers isolates revealed that there were no isolates
sensitive to all drugs also no isolates were sensitive to only one or only two
or only three drugs, meanwhile most isolates were sensitive to only four or
more drugs indicating that the isolates from layers were less resistant than
that from one day old chicks.
5-Results of sensitivity percentage of each antimicrobial agents against
isolates from one day old chicks revealed that the cefotaxime, ciprofloxacin,
and colistin are first three effective drugs should used in cases of
emergencies, infection control or for treatment of one day old chicks.
6-Results of sensitivity percentage of each antimicrobial agents against
isolates from layers and broiler revealed that the cefotaxime, ciprofloxacin
and rifampicin, are first three effective drugs should used in cases
emergencies, infection control or for treatment of layers and broiler.
