4. Expertise in using molecular dynamics, first principle calculations and numerical<br />

simulation s<strong>of</strong>twares such as AMBER, NAMD, MPSIM, Gaussian03, Jaguar, VMD,<br />

Materials Studio, Cerius2, matlab, mathematica etc.<br />

5. Working knowledge in LINUX and Windows operating systems.<br />

6. FORTRAN, C programming language skills and few shell scripting languages like<br />

bash, tcsh, awk and also web designing language, HTML.<br />

Current Research and objective<br />

<strong>My</strong> current research interests include various thermodynamic and equilibrium statistical<br />

properties <strong>of</strong> short double stranded DNA and interaction <strong>of</strong> nucleic acids (dsDNA and<br />

siRNA) with carbon nanotube and graphene. Earlier, I have worked on elastic properties<br />

<strong>of</strong> nanotubes and force induced structural transformation <strong>of</strong> double stranded DNA. I use<br />

all atom molecular dynamics simulations to study these systems. I am working towards<br />

my PhD degree in theoretical physics under supervision <strong>of</strong> Pr<strong>of</strong>. Prabal K Maiti at the<br />

<strong>Indian</strong> <strong>Institute</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Science</strong>, Bangalore, India.<br />
