4. Expertise in using molecular dynamics, first principle calculations and numerical
simulation softwares such as AMBER, NAMD, MPSIM, Gaussian03, Jaguar, VMD,
Materials Studio, Cerius2, matlab, mathematica etc.
5. Working knowledge in LINUX and Windows operating systems.
6. FORTRAN, C programming language skills and few shell scripting languages like
bash, tcsh, awk and also web designing language, HTML.
Current Research and objective
My current research interests include various thermodynamic and equilibrium statistical
properties of short double stranded DNA and interaction of nucleic acids (dsDNA and
siRNA) with carbon nanotube and graphene. Earlier, I have worked on elastic properties
of nanotubes and force induced structural transformation of double stranded DNA. I use
all atom molecular dynamics simulations to study these systems. I am working towards
my PhD degree in theoretical physics under supervision of Prof. Prabal K Maiti at the
Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India.
