Mission 

The Sunshine Kids Foundation adds quality of life to children with cancer by providing them with exciting, 

positive group activities, so they may once again do what Kids are meant to do...have fun and celebrate life! 

Goal 

We look forward to the day when The Sunshine Kids Foundation will no longer need to exist. Until that 

time, the entire Sunshine Kids family is dedicated to providing the most exciting activities, trips and events 

for as many young cancer patients as possible.

A Message from our Executive Director, G.W. Bailey 

On behalf of the Sunshine Kids and their families, thank you for making it possible for the Sunshine Kids Foundation to celebrate 30 

years of serving children with cancer across the country. The Foundation’s ability to grow and create new opportunities for the Kids is 

due directly to your generosity and commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others. I’d like to share a special letter 

from former SpokesKid, Kyle Stepp, which reminds us just how important our efforts are for Kids fighting cancer everywhere. 

The Sunshine Kids organization is more than just another non-profit in my life; they are my second family. They help me to see beyond 

the trials of my past such as cancer. These are the people who showed me that they truly love and care about me, and just as they 

have with me, they will go the ends of the earth to care for the Kids who need it. I have a strong faith in God, and I know the Sunshine 

Kids are here for a reason, and that reason is to make a difference in the lives of the thousands of Kids diagnosed with cancer each year. 

The Sunshine Kids helped me find my calling. After being a Sunshine Kid and a National SpokesKid, I want to work for a non-profit 

organization; so that I too can make a difference in the lives of children. 

I honestly thank God every day for the Sunshine Kids and for everything they have given me. Everyone on the staff and all the 

volunteers have become a family and role models for both me and thousands of other Kids. During the trips, I was able to gain 

relationships with other Kids that knew just what I was going through, and we were able to relate to what each other faced. After a 

few days, they were like brothers and sisters to me and will be for the rest of my life. I can’t thank the Sunshine Kids enough for what 

they have done for me and for all the other Kids across North America. 

As we all embark on this continuous journey together, let us never forget that...“Those who 

bring sunshine to the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves.”
