Safety & hygiene
Villeroy & Boch whirlpools meet the highest standards of safety and hygiene. To assure hygiene, some models are equipped with special jets or have a fully automatic
cleaning system, which automatically engages when the bathwater has drained. The pipes are then dried by air. The blowing-dry can also be performed manually, for
example, if water has entered the system while the bathtub is being cleaned. To guarantee safe operation, all water-carrying whirlpools are equipped with a special
hair trap, which stops water suction if the drain is blocked. To prevent the whirlpool from being switched on when there is no water in the tub, all systems feature dry-run
protection that operates by means of a level sensor. The Whisper systems carry the KEMA test mark and of course the CE logo as well.
Cleaning and hygiene
Villeroy & Boch whirlpools are very easy to clean. After use, the bathtub should be rinsed with clean water and dried with a cloth. All jets can be disassembled at
any time for cleaning, using the equipment provided. We recommend mild detergents that will gently clean the surface of the jets. It is highly recommended not to
use bath products containing oil, but bath salts, etc, can safely be used, as long the salt dissipates. To achieve optimal hygiene in the pipes, we recommend rinsing the
whirlpool once a month with a cleaner.
