m<strong>an</strong>y <strong>of</strong> you remember taking your kids to ride on it. Built in 1912, the carousel operated at Nunley’s Amusement Park in<br />

Baldwin from 1940 to 1995. In 1995, the amusement park closed its doors forever. <strong>The</strong> carousel was obtained by Nassau<br />

County for $854,000 <strong>an</strong>d put in storage until 2006. A building was built at Museum Row just for the carousel <strong>an</strong>d the<br />

carousel in now in full operation there. <strong>The</strong> ring holder <strong>is</strong> still in operation with it, so you might w<strong>an</strong>t to take your gr<strong>an</strong>dkids<br />

there <strong>an</strong>d show them <strong>an</strong> attraction that their parents use to ride when they were kids.<br />
