Indications: Hypertension, angina pectoris<br />

Category: Adrenergic beta-receptor antagonist; Antiarrhythmic<br />

class II<br />

Half-life: 2–6 hours<br />

Clinically important, potentially hazardous interactions<br />

with: cimetidine, clonidine, epinephrine, eucalyptus,<br />

haloperidol, insulin, insulin detemir, insulin glargine, insulin<br />

glulisine, nilutamide, terbutaline, verapamil<br />

Inderide is propranolol <strong>and</strong> hydrochlorothiazide<br />

Note: Cutaneous side effects of beta-receptor blockaders are<br />

clinically polymorphous. They apparently appear after several months<br />

of continuous therapy. Atypical psoriasiform, lichen planus-like, <strong>and</strong><br />
