Detailed Costs of Production Here are the detailed costs of production. These costs are based on the average production costs released by the Banana association of Mexico as an average for the production areas in Mexico but we expect to reach higher efficiencies through our experience and engineering capabilities. The total cost per box comes to US$ 2.99. We have been talking to the buying party about signing a supply contract at prices above US$5.90 per box, which as mentioned before in this document will give us substantial margins. As we become more efficient and have more productivity per area, our average cost per box will be lower. These costs are at an exchange rate of $12.90 pesos per USD when today’s exchange rate is around $13.20 which would be a lower cost per box in dollar terms. We would like to mention that the currency risk is completely mitigated in the long term buying contract as the price is indexed to the exchange rate and any sudden and significant move would make a price per box adjustment on the contract. We try to be conservative with our projections but we could expect to have considerably lower costs per box within the first 2 years.
