b. Non–Standard Holding (Figure 7-3)<br />
i. Sector A (TEARDROP). If the reciprocal is between the heading index and<br />
70º to the left of the heading index, make a Teardrop entry. This is<br />
accomplished by turning in the shortest direction (left or right) to a heading that<br />
is 30º more than the reciprocal of the holding course.<br />
ii. Sector B (PARALLEL). If the reciprocal is between the heading index and<br />
110º to the right of the heading index, make a right turn to parallel the reciprocal<br />
of the holding course.<br />
iii. Sector C (DIRECT ENTRY). If the reciprocal of the holding course does not<br />
meet the criteria listed in (i) or (ii) above, turn left to the reciprocal of the<br />
holding course.
