Default Setting (System Menu)<br />

Select the communication protocol according to the type of security employed by the POP3 server. The default setting<br />

is Off.<br />

NOTE: POP3 (E-mail RX) must be set to On in Protocol Detail on page 8-132.<br />

The table below shows the available settings.<br />

Item Description<br />

Off Do not use security employed by the POP3 server.<br />

SSL/TLS Encryption is applied any data communication. To enable POP3 security, the<br />

POP3 port may have to be changed according to the server settings.<br />

Typically, 995* for SSL/TLS is well-known POP3 port.<br />

S<strong>TA</strong>RTTLS Encryption is applied any data communication. Typically, 110* for S<strong>TA</strong>RTTLS<br />

is well-known POP3 port.<br />

* You can change the port number using Embedded Web Server.<br />

Use the procedure below to make the setting.<br />

1 In the Sys. Menu/Count. menu, press the or key to<br />

select [System], and press the OK key.<br />

A login screen will appear. Then, enter the user ID and<br />

password with administrator privileges to log in, and<br />

press [Login] (the Right Select key).<br />

2 The System menu appears.<br />

3 Press the or key to select [Network Setting].<br />

4 Press the OK key. The Network Setting menu appears.<br />
