Basic Operation<br />
Adjusting Exposure<br />

Adjust the exposure automatically or manually. The default setting is [Manual]. Follow the steps as<br />
below for Manual mode.<br />
1 Place the original.<br />
2 Press the exposure adjustment key<br />
( / ) to adjust the exposure level.<br />
Press [Auto Exposure] to use Auto<br />
Exposure mode. The machine<br />
determines a suitable exposure level for<br />
copying. To change the exposure mode<br />
from [Auto] to [Manual], press the<br />
exposure adjustment key ( / ).<br />
NOTE: Auto Exposure mode is only available for black and white copying. Also, copies will be made<br />
in Manual Exposure mode if the Auto Color mode detects a full color original.<br />
3 Press the Start key. Copying begins.<br />
NOTE: Press [Exposure Mode] to display the<br />
Exposure Mode screen. You can also adjust the<br />
exposure from this screen.<br />
