Review of Emergency Response Provision: Sevenoaks Incidents and Mobilisations Analysis Mobilisation Analysis Introduction 1. Stations in the Sevenoaks review area include 1 day-crewed station (S68 Sevenoaks) and 4 retained stations (S67 Borough Green, S69 Westerham, S70 Edenbridge, S71 Seal) 2. Mobilisations in the Sevenoaks review area consist of comparisons of 1 RPL’s (68R1), 1 EXP (70P1) and 4 pumps (67P1, 68P1, 69P1, 71P1). 3. Call signs and appliance numbers have been used throughout the charts and tables. Details of which appliance is based where can be found at Annex 1 Direct Comparison Appliance Mobilisation Analysis 4. To assess how appliances perform in relation with activity to the rest of Kent & Medway the appliances in the Sevenoaks area have been compared to the average number of mobilisations of the same type across Kent & Medway. These averages have been broken down into the following groups: Rescue Pump Ladder – RPL (23) Extended Pump – EXP (11) Pump Ladder – PL (8) Pump – P (44) NB: We are aware that some appliances may have changed in type over the five year period e.g. pump to an extended pump. For the purpose of this analysis an appliance’s current function has been used to categorise it. 5. To create these averages five years of mobilisation data has been used between 1st January 2005 and 31st December 2009. The list of incident types is given in the table below. The table below shows the average number of incidents attended by pump type and will be used within this document to compare the status of appliances located within the Sevenoaks area. 50
