6.
Small, Portable, Powerful, Computerized
Technology to meet today's traveling
professional’s needs. Combined with a
laptop computer this system provides
complete audiometric testing and
fitting capability for a fraction of the
cost of a large console device.
One of our universal observations is the
the lack of physical space in most
diagnostic settings. With so many pieces
of “stand-alone” instrumentation, often
the professional's testing and fitting
environment is cramped, cluttered and
uninviting to their clients. The new
devices are incredibly small, only about
5” square. The best part is that the
hardware can literally go anywhere, in a
drawer, under a desk or in the sound
booth, since the engines for these tiny
devices are computers. Each device
that makes up the Ultimate Office +
including: the A2D + Audiometer and the
REM Speech + Real Ear System, connect
via a simple USB 2.0 port. The USB port
is also where the devices draw their
power. This makes the entire package
quite portable for anyone who: needs
The Ultimate Office+ is comprised of:
• AVANT REM+ / Live Speech Mapping System
• AVANT A2D+ Diagnostic Audiometer
• Carrying Case
All cables, transducers and manuals
•
to move the equipment to different
areas within their building, has space
limitations or conducts testing and
fitting outside of the office. Another
important element of this technology is
that the software and the computer
screens are designed to educate and
engage the customer in the entire
testing and fitting process. Many
progressive professionals today are
investing in large flat screen monitors,
so that their customers and significant
others can actually “see” what they are
hearing or in most cases, what they are
NOT hearing. It’s powerful, compelling
and has a measurable effect. While we
have promoted this package as a
portable solution, it’s small yes, but actually
these devices can easily be utilized
as a stationary test suite for any
practice. As we are observing with all
electronic technology, “small is the new
big” when it comes to diagnostics.
The AVANT REMsp Single Probe Verification System is
the latest addition to our line of diagnostic products.
The REMsp has really shattered the price barrier making
verification affordable for even the smallest practice.
The REMsp performs all of the traditional real ear
measurements and features live speech mapping at half
the price of traditional systems.
The MedRx Video Otoscope offers a new concept in Video Otoscope technology with a
battery operated LED Light Source. The LED light source interfaces with the MedRx 3mm
probe and miniature video camera, which requires no focusing.
The Video Otoscope consists of:
Otoscope Probe
High Resolution Camera
Battery Operated LED Light Source
Video Otoscope Software
Video Capture Device
The Light output of the LED produces virtually no heat or light outside the visible
range. The LED light output is in a color range which can be easily white balanced by the
MedRx video camera to render true color Video Otoscopy. The remarkably clear
resolution is particularly helpful in contrasting a clean ear canal and normal eardrum
with an ear drum and canal that has excessive cerumen, foreign bodies, external otitis,
PE Tube status, cholesteatoma, TM perforations or other abnormalities. The LED light
source interfaces with the MedRx 3mm probe and miniature video camera, which
requires no focusing.
The Video Otoscope Software:
• Capture, View and Store digital images in our user friendly NOAH & TIMS®
compatible Video Otoscope Software.
• The capture screen allows you to take pictures with the Video Otoscope, view
images, prepare images for storing in the patient database.
• The video preview screen allows you to perform an otoscopic examination, place the
probe microphone in the ear canal
• The Video Otoscopy record can be accessed from the main screen by selecting the
pictures button. The screen shows the list of captured pictures, comments and a
preview of the selected image.
• The Video Otoscope “view this screen” allows you to view a picture, zoom in and
enhance it.
(Install freshly charged batteries i n the light source every day. A second set of 3 batteries is supplied
so that a fully re-charged set is always available)
The MedRx Ultra Vac is a professional system that is extremely
quiet, weighs only 8 lbs and is space friendly. The vacuum wand
will pull a minimum of 27.5 inches of mercury at sea level when
the constant suction feature is engaged. The Pulse Power
feature will increase the suction power on an intermittent basis.
Should wax become lodged in the vacuum needle, the user may
simply switch on the pressure feature and reverse the air flow.
Pressure in excess of 30psi is available. The drying chamber has a
cup that is large enough to hold BTE Hearing Instruments. Once
the switch is engaged, the drying chamber vacuum will run for 4
