Its target growth rates within the planning period are shown in Table 3-4 below. Major sectors that push up the economy are industry and construction. These target growth rates are deemed to be within a possible range and are realistic, considering the recent actual economic performance, private sector’s investment environment and the progress of the implementation of infrastructure projects. (c) Forecasted Economic Growth Rate up to 2040 It is not realistic to assume an 8% growth rate for more than 20 years after 2010.
