inspired pots and Jardinieres, alongside work<br />

by other Franschhoek artists. Demos in the<br />

studio over weekends at 15:00.<br />

La Motte Museum, La Motte Wine Estate<br />

Celebrating Women Potters – An exhibition of significant ceramics by<br />

South African Women Potters, including ceramics from the Ceramic<br />

Studio, Linnware and various other women potters from the collections<br />

of the Iziko Museum, Cape <strong>to</strong>wn, and the Clay Museum, Durbanville.<br />

La Motte Museum will host an interesting talk by one such modern<br />

practising woman potter, Ella-Lou o’Meara on thursday 8 november.<br />

Ella-Lou has worked closely with La Motte in the design of Pierneef à<br />

La Motte’s much-talked-about chandeliers made from painted ceramics<br />

and is responsible for the beautiful bowls and plates sold in the<br />

La Motte Farm Shop on the estate. Booking essential.<br />

the La Motte Museum is open from tuesdays <strong>to</strong> Sundays, 09:00-17:00.<br />
