Artefact, the little potters studio on Daniel
Hugo Street, will show the work of Vuyisa
Potina, Sue van Rensburg, David Walters
and Sarah Walters who will show botanically
inspired pots and Jardinieres, alongside work
by other Franschhoek artists. Demos in the
studio over weekends at 15:00.

La Motte Museum, La Motte Wine Estate
Celebrating Women Potters – An exhibition of significant ceramics by
South African Women Potters, including ceramics from the Ceramic
Studio, Linnware and various other women potters from the collections
of the Iziko Museum, Cape town, and the Clay Museum, Durbanville.
La Motte Museum will host an interesting talk by one such modern
practising woman potter, Ella-Lou o’Meara on thursday 8 november.
Ella-Lou has worked closely with La Motte in the design of Pierneef à
La Motte’s much-talked-about chandeliers made from painted ceramics
and is responsible for the beautiful bowls and plates sold in the
La Motte Farm Shop on the estate. Booking essential.
the La Motte Museum is open from tuesdays to Sundays, 09:00-17:00.

exhibition of ceramic artists in combination
with a well known artists of different
mediums to create 12 ‘installations’ for the
Art in Clay Exhibition. Participating artists

Wilma Cruise and Jacqueline Crewe-Brown,
Ralph Johnson and Hannes van Zyl, and
