WOMEN’S CLUB<br />
FEBRUARY LUNCHEON<br />

Like always, are winters go quickly when we are<br />
in nice sunny weather, and so are the activities for the<br />
women’s club. But one of our biggest events will be<br />
coming up Thursday, <strong>March</strong> 14 th , <strong>2013</strong>.<br />
This will be the annual dinner/ fashion show.<br />
Tickets will be $20.00 per person and will be on sale<br />
starting, <strong>March</strong> 2 nd , and <strong>March</strong> 9 th . Remember these<br />
tickets go quickly. Please get your tickets early. Pine<br />
<strong>Lake</strong>s Pub will be catering our event this year with a<br />
wonderful entrée of Chicken Cordon Bleu, salad, honey<br />
carrots and dessert. Also our fashions will be by Belks<br />
Department Store which have always shown us some<br />
beautiful clothing. This is your night, our theme this<br />
year is Just For You, and we truly want you to feel<br />
that it is, so please get your tickets in plenty of time.<br />
On Thursday, April 11 th , <strong>2013</strong>, will be the<br />
spring pot luck luncheon hosted by Andrea Tripp, keep<br />
this date open for our last women’s club event. Food is<br />
always good made by our ladies in the park, so bring<br />
our recipes too !<br />

LAKE FAIRWAY WOMEN’S CLUB<br />
On Thursday, April 11, the Women’s Club will be<br />
sponsoring a Pot Luck Luncheon chaired by Andrea<br />
Tripp. Everyone is welcome to come. There will be a<br />
list on the bulletin board between the men and ladies’<br />
restrooms so that we can determine what may be<br />
needed. You may bring an appetizer, entrée, or<br />
dessert. Please bring your specialty (and recipe if<br />
homemade). We are hoping to see you all there!<br />

IT WAS NOT THE SENIORS!.<br />
I got an email today from Facebook telling me<br />
about the notifications I missed today. Great, now my<br />
Facebook is set to "nag" ! Senior citizens are constantly<br />
being criticized for every conceivable deficiency<br />
of the modern world, real or imaginary. We know we<br />
take responsibility for all we have done and do not<br />
blame others.<br />
HOWEVER, upon reflection, we would like to point<br />
out that it was NOT the senior citizens who took:<br />
The melody out of music,<br />
The pride out of appearance,<br />
The courtesy out of driving,<br />
The romance out of love,<br />
The commitment out of marriage,<br />
The responsibility out of parenthood,<br />
The togetherness out of the family,<br />
The learning out of education,<br />
The service out of patriotism,<br />
The Golden Rule from rulers,<br />
The nativity scene out of cities,<br />
The civility out of behavior,<br />
The refinement out of language,<br />
The dedication out of employment,<br />
The prudence out of spending,<br />
The ambition out of achievement or-<br />
GOD out of government and school.<br />
And we certainly are NOT the ones who eliminated<br />
patience and tolerance from personal relationships and<br />
interactions with others!!<br />
