With so much activity going on, where do we start?
Jimmy Travis, a great comedian and wonderful singer,
was a huge success; we all laughed until tears rolled
down our cheeks!
As we write this, we are looking forward to our
Sweetheart Dinner Dance. We are so excited to be
bringing Mike Imbasciani to Lake Fairways! He is such
a dynamic young talent!
Tickets for the Van Dells sold out the first morning
sales began. Thank you, Lake Fairways, for such great
support! We know this show will not disappoint.
Some of the members of the Entertainment Committee
have had the opportunity to attend some talent
showcases in order to continue to bring great acts to
Lake Fairways. They have also attended some shows in
other communities and arenas in the area. While the
shows have been good, it became obvious that we get
much more “bang for our buck” at Lake Fairways. The
prices are generally the same as ours, but for your
money, you get a seat at a reserved table, or in some
instances, first come, first seated and all were “bring
your own food and drink.” Once again, proving that
Lake Fairways is the place to be!!
Our next fun event will be the St. Patrick’s Day
Dinner Dance on March 16, 2013. Tickets are on sale
now at just $18 per person (call Judy 896-5157).
Corned beef and cabbage with all the traditional trimmings
will be served by the ever popular Sub N Pub!
Additional corned beef will be available for purchase.
Music for dancing will be provided by Renee & Company,
a very talented husband and wife duo. For an evening
of great food and dancing fun: Come, wear your
green and be Irish for a day, or wear your green and
watch the antics of those who are Irish. Sometimes the
apparel is as much fun as Halloween! Either way, you
won’t want to miss the fun!
It’s hard to believe that our season will be coming
to a close at the end of this month. Our annual Pool
Party will be on Sunday, March 24, 2013 from noon
until 3pm, rain or shine. We will be serving Belly Busters,
Tacos in a Bag, Chips, soft drinks and beer. Games
will be played, but the big question is: Will Mike
Rendine retain his title as Mr. Sexy Legs?
We are in the process of selecting new members
for next year’s Entertainment Committee. If you were
unable to attend our open house and would like to be
considered as a committee member, please contact
