The company continued with caustic washing. By
the end of June 2006 Trafigura had “washed” at
least three shipments of coker naphtha on board
the Probo Koala, 83 as the ship was heading
north from Gibraltar towards Amsterdam.
More than 500m 3 of waste was now stored in
the ship’s slop tanks. And Trafigura still had
not found a way to dispose of it.
