VII. CASC • There were no CASC announcements<br />
• The CASC asked that it be notified when agencies have open beds and<br />
available outpatient appointments.<br />
VIII. Probation • Probation restated their October 2008 memo that as a result <strong>of</strong> the current<br />
Prop 36 funding condition, their department will no longer be able to<br />
provide drug testing for P36 cases. This includes the final drug test just<br />
prior to c<strong>los</strong>ing out a case, despite a judicial order.<br />
• Effective November 2008, case management <strong>of</strong> Prop 36 cases will be<br />
supervised (similar to the PC-1000 cases) with sign-in registration done at<br />
the KIOSKs. All current Prop 36 cases are currently being transferred to<br />
the Riverview Office in Arcadia for case load storage to be supervised by a<br />
group <strong>of</strong> Deputy Probation Officers (DPO’s). The DPO’s that are at the<br />
CASC sites will remain stationed there. At present, their duties will remain<br />
unchanged, but this may be updated at a future meeting.<br />
• Termination and Dismissal (T & D) Reports will only be provided to the<br />
Prop 36 Courts if request by the Judge.<br />
• Mr. Sosa suggested that if the agencies have any matters that require the<br />
assistance <strong>of</strong> Probation, they should contact his <strong>of</strong>fice at (562) 908-3175.<br />
