and we appreciate your continued support. That being said, we will continue to strive to produce 

the finest suspension products available to you and your customers. 

Since 1974 FOX Racing Shox has made suspension. It is all that we do, and it is all that we have 

ever done. We’re proud of this focus, which has resulted in racing championships in Motorcycles, 

Indy Cars, Snowmobiles, ATV’s, Off-Road Trucks and of course Mountain Bikes. The products that 

result from the knowledge gained across our multi-discipline racing efforts are tools, not toys. 

We design, test, and manufacture our high performance, engineering driven, purpose built tools 

right here in our factory in Watsonville, California. That is not just our job…this is our passion. 

This focused passion is alive and well within FOX Racing Shox, fueling the innovation you’ve come

FOX forks and shocks have better ride quality because of our attention to detail, our focus, our 

multi discipline racing experience, and our passion. Widgets and marketing lingo don’t cut it on the 

trail. On the trail, it’s all about the RIDE. And in 2008 all our products have been taken to the next level 

of performance. How? By sweating the details. By maintaining good enough, is not good enough. 

For 2008 we are introducing a new F-Series Fork line-up with a completely redesigned chassis. 

We will again break the mold in XC racing and Trail fork prowess by expanding the F-Series family 

to meet the needs of the latest generation of 120mm Marathon/Trail bikes: super-light, super-stiff 

and super-fast. In the Fall of 2007 our F-29 fork will be available for the big wheel crowd, offering 

the stiffest and lightest 29 inch fork available. We will again raise the bar in the 6 inch plus fork 

category with our new 36. The new design features a lighter and stiffer crown, a new lighter lower 

leg design with an integrated 20mm QR for tool-free axle removal, superior torsional grip, and an 

incredible weight savings of .2 lbs (91g) over the previous design.

driven, high performance suspension design and manufacturing company. We will continue to

We tested quite a bit last season. With the latest 

improvements in tuning I don’t have to worry about going 

to a stiffer spring for efficiency. The damping gives me the 

traction I need with proper sag set-up. You can just pin-it.

I’ve been riding FOX Suspension for several years, and 

they’ve always led the way with new and innovative ideas 

for going fast over rough terrain! After testing the newest 

suspension set-ups FOX has been working on, the bar 

has been raised! Better damping and lighter spring rates 

made for significant improvements in the fork. Under hard 

braking and pinning it through rock sections, the fork was 

very responsive and easily controllable.

My favorite FOX product is the FOX 40 RC2 and it is 

because of its super plush feel, amazing light weight 

and active range of adjustments. The FOX 40 RC2 is a no 

nonsense race fork which can handle weekend after 

weekend of abuse and still offer the same incredible ride 

as when it first got put on your bike. When we tested 

the 08 set-up I found I could hold a tighter line in 

off-camber world cup courses. 

FOX has enhanced my performance with the ability to 

be able to control and tune my ride to any conditions I 

have to face, either on the World Cup circuit or out on 

a casual ride at home. Having a suspension product that 

works extremely well benefits everyone’s enjoyment and 

with a FOX product you know you will get that, no 

matter what terrain.

I’m a mountain bike rider. Pure and Simple. My world 

goes round because I get to rail around in the woods 

every day at some point. To that end, having suspension 

components that just work is something I hold close 

to heart. The new damping system helps the front end of 

the bike ride higher in the travel so the fork doesn’t dive 

on technical courses. The benefit is that I don’t have 

to run a super-stiff set-up, which lets my suspension 

work as it should and allows me to have an efficient XC 

race set-up. It’s real important to me to be able to perfectly 

preload off a roller with a smile on my face then 

whack it into a berm harder than any XC bike has business 

being whacked and somehow get away with it for the 

millionth time, smile intact... Fox components have the 

priceless combination of velvet damping and stiff, solid, 

real world compatible chassis that keep me on track 

regardless of whether it’s the racetrack or some backcountry 

singletrack, places I hold in equal regard.

When you spend the time up front making a great performing 

product, the most difficult part is finding that 

extra 5% to make it even better. Similar to the dedication 

required by an athlete breaking out of the top ten and 

getting on the podium. You have to dig deep. The tuning 

changes we have worked on and made for 2008 give us 

that extra 5% of a performance advantage. That 5% can 

make the difference of 2 seconds in a race run or a sprint 

finish resulting in a medal or a loss. This is what we are 

striving for, that extra 5% and the medal. 

Going into detail of how we gained that 5% is complex 

and involves tedious tuning and endless testing with highly 

sophisticated equipment. The 2008 compression, rebound, 

and damping consistency changes will provide control and 

confidence resulting in taking the rider and us to the next 

level. We both win. 

Kyle Strait - Phenom 

For me it’s always been about confidence. I have been 

with FOX for most of my career and ever since I was 

much younger I have always wanted to ride FOX 

suspension. I can attempt anything on my bike and never 

have to think twice about my suspension’s capability. It’s 

an honor to be a part of such a company that has such 

great precision in their work. Their products are perfect. 

The product doesn’t fail me no matter how big I go. I can 

rely on it and depend on it. The last thing that I have to 

think about before and during an event is the reliability of my

With Float suspension front and rear on my 4X race bike 

I had the speed of a bike that pedaled like a hardtail but

My favorite FOX Fork is the RLT F100. It’s like a 

rebellious teenager - acts bigger and tougher than its 

feathery weight would justify. I used it during the La 

Ruta stage race this year. Over 40,000 feet of locked 

out climbing, and then down jagged volcanoes, rutted 

jungles and treacherous river crossings. Everything felt 

like a fluffy cloud to my FOX and me. I never leave home 

without getting on my FOX. 

Geoff Kabush - NMBS Short Track Champion 

When my bike is geared up for XC race performance my 

favourite set-up a FOX F100 RLT on the front and the 

FOX RP23 on the rear. I have given up on hardtails and 

only race full suspension now because my FOX Shox 

work incredibly well and are so effficient. When the trail 

gets rough I know I am going to be in the driver’s seat 

because my FOX Shox work; they don’t just look pretty, 

they are trail tested and I know the fork and shock is 

going to be smooth from start to finish.

Riding for FOX has helped so much at races. There race 

support team is a big benefit as I found they really listen

are able to set it up for you exactly how you want. Also 

at the beginning of every season FOX runs a set-up camp 

and they make sure all there riders get there suspension 

in tune before the season starts. 

When I first went to FOX I definitely noticed a major 

difference in having a more rigid front end apart from this 

making the bike track better when cornering it seems to 

give you more confidence to hit stuff faster. With the 

rear shock being so smooth also I really noticed a 

difference over small bumps and in tracking.

The overall ProPedal range is huge, from extremely 

plush in the light setting to maximum pedaling threshold 

in the firm position for the most efficient ride possible. 

And, because damping is a two-sided coin, rebound settings 

have a wide range and linear feel over the entire rebound spectrum. 

The flagship RP23 ® offers the ultimate in adjustability. With 

the lever in the ProPedal setting, the 3 position ProPedal knob 

allows the rider to easily dial in the level of firmness they 

desire in one location (patent pending). For the racer or effi- 

ciency focused rider, the RP2 cuts to the chase by offering 

the maximum factory set ProPedal range - light to full firm 

all at the flick of the lever. So whether you want maximum 

adjustability or simple race day performance, FOX’s new RP 

shocks deliver.

DESIRED PROPEDAL SETTING. 

Turn the propedal lever to the prodedal position. 

Lift the propedal knob. 

Turn the propedal knob clockwise (relative to the 

propedal knob facing the user) until the selection you 

want — 1, 2, or 3 — is aligned with the propedal lever. 

The propedal knob clicks twice per setting as it turns. 

The first click occurs as you exit the current setting; 

the second click as you engage the new setting. 

Push the propedal knob into its new position.

The incredibly light, best performing oil damped air shock 

on the market continues to evolve. 

For 2008, we redesigned and repositioned the air valve to accommodate a wider range of bike design 

packaging. Our proprietary ProPedal ® system provides pedaling threshold with flatter compression curves 

for rider efficiency and maximum traction. 

The flagship FLOAT ® RP23 ® offers incredible ride performance with its 3-position tuning range adjuster 

and 2-position adjustable ProPedal lever which allows riders to quickly shift from light to firm ProPedal. 

FOX’s ProPedal system is better than lockout. In the firm position, it can support a riders sprinting 

effort yet it will still absorb bumps.

The DHX ® Air 5.0 is designed specifically for the rigors of 

heavy-duty trail riding. 

For 2008 we’ve redesigned the ProPedal adjustment mechanism. Now riders can tune their ProPedal with a 

quick flick of the 2 position lever from light to full in an instant. This shock offers all the tuning options 

of the DHX coil; patent-pending, position-sensitive Boost valve; adjustable bottom-out resistance; 

adjustable ProPedal with a 180 degree lever, and refined click-by-click linear external rebound adjustment. 

With its large volume air spring, the DHX Air 5.0 offers excellent small thru big-hit performance, in any 

terrain and any style of riding, in an incredibly lightweight package.
