Note : The orders issued in para 3 and 4 of G.O.Ms.No.87, F&P<br />

(FW.Pen.I) Dept. dt 25-5-98 are applicable to the persons promoted during<br />

the period of last 2 months in a regular vacancy, and eligible for benefit<br />

irrespective of number of days they acted in the promoted post.<br />

vi) Counting of D.A for the purpose of calculation of pension<br />

on average emoluments in respect of Government servants<br />

retiring on or after 1-7-98 with the benefits of R.P.S of 1999 :<br />

In respect of Government Servents retiring on or after 1-7-98 with the<br />

benefits of revised pay scale of 1999 and whose cases are not satisfied the<br />

provisions of G.O.Ms.No. 87, Fin & Plg (FW. Pen-I) Department. dt. 25-5-98<br />

their pensions have to be determined in the average of last 10 months<br />

emoluments as per Rule 32 of A.P.R.P.Rs, <strong>1980</strong>, and if pay was drawn during<br />

the period of 10 months preceding the date of retirement partially in pre-Revised<br />

scale of pay and partially in R.P.S.1999, in addition to pay drawn by the<br />

employees in the pre-revised scale of pay, D.A. drawn by the employee as on<br />

1-7-98 (i.e) the D.A being counted for the purpose of pay fixation in the Revised<br />

Scale of Pay 1999, may also be counted for woking out average emoluments<br />

for computing pension.<br />

33.<br />

1 [Superannuation pension:-<br />

A superannuation pension shall be granted, subject to Rule 45, to a<br />

Government Servant who is retired as per Rule 42.]<br />

34. Retiring Pension:-<br />

A retiring pension shall be granted to a Government servant who retires,<br />

or is retired, in advance of the age of compulsory retirement, in accordance<br />

with the provisions of Rule 43 or Rule 44 of these rules.<br />

1. Rule 33 was substituted in G.O.Ms.No. 178, F&P (FW.Pen.I) Department. dt 22-10- 97 w.e.f<br />

29-10-79. And the earlier rule 33 was as follows :<br />

“A superannuation pension shall be granted to a Government servant who is retired<br />

as per rule 42”<br />
