for the recovery of excess paid Pension/ Retirement Gratuity without insisting<br />

for a fresh sanction for the revised amount. Copy of amendment order to the<br />

Pension Payment Order or the revised Pension Payment Order should be<br />

furnished to the Pension Sanctioning Authority who, on receipt, shall take<br />

note of the revision in the original sanction order and service Book of the<br />

Government servant.<br />

6. The following procedure should be followed in the matter of transfer of<br />

pensions from one District Treasury to another.<br />

(a) Action to be taken by the Pensioner :<br />

The pensioner should apply for transfer of pension to the Sub-<br />

Treasury Office / District Treasury Office / Pension Payment Office, where<br />

he is drawing his pension. With the application, the pensioner should<br />

surrender the pensioner’s half of the pension Payment Order to the<br />

Sub-Treasury Office / District Treasury Office / Pension Payment Office, and<br />

obtain an acknowledgment.<br />

(b) Action to be taken by the Sub-Treasury / District Treasury<br />

Office / Pension Payment Office :<br />

The Sub-Treasury Officer should send both the Disburser’s and<br />

Pensioner’s halves of Pension Payment Order, along with the descriptive<br />

rolls of the Pensioners, to the District Treasury Office of his district after indicating<br />

on both halves of Pension Payment Order, the month upto and including<br />

which payment has been made. He should also cancel the entry in the<br />

Pension Payment Order register in his Office with a note to the effect “Transferred<br />

to District Treasury Office for arranging payment at . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .<br />

. . . . .<br />

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Sub-<br />

Treasury / District Treasury / Pension Payment Office.”<br />

(c) Action to be taken by the District Treasury Office / Pension<br />

Payment Office<br />

The District Treasury Officer on receipt of both halves of Pension<br />

Payment Order with the descriptive rolls from the Sub-Treasury or the Dis-
