Verification and authorisation of Pensions in respects of Class IV<br />

and other low paid employees<br />

1.1 The work relating to verification of services and issue of authorisations<br />

of Pensionery benefits in respect of Class IV employees and other low paid<br />

employees like Police Constables, Head Constables etc., was entrusted to<br />

the following Heads of Departments and Head of Offices, w.e.f. 1.1.1977<br />

(i) Heads of Departments<br />

(a) Director of Agriculture<br />

(b) Director of School Education Entire Class IV strength<br />

(c) Director of Medical Services<br />

(ii) Heads of Offices :<br />

(a) Superintendents of Police/ Head Constables, Police<br />

Commissioner of Police, Constables and other<br />

Hyderabad. Class IV employees.<br />

(b) Superintendents of Excise Excise Constables and other<br />

Class IV employees.<br />

(c) District / Divisional Forest Guards and other<br />

Forest Officers Class IV employees.<br />

However, the following two categories of cases will continue<br />

to be attended to by the Accountant General, Andhra Pradesh.<br />

(i) Cases of revision of Pension which were already dealt by Accountant<br />

General, Andhra Pradesh.<br />

(ii) Compassionate Pension/Family Pension under Andhra Pradesh<br />

Government Servants Family Pension Rules, 1964.<br />

The Accountant General, Andhra Pradesh has to conduct the post<br />

audit of the cases dealt by the Heads of Departments/Offices.<br />
