V. In cases where there has been a delay in the sanction of pension<br />

for which reason the amount of pension is not known on the date of re-employment,<br />

the officer may be allowed to draw the pay last drawn by him before<br />

retirement keeping the pension in abeyance.<br />

V. (a) Revised orders of fixation of pay on re-employed pensioners<br />

in terms of RPs 1999 :-<br />

The pay of the re-employed pensioners shall be regulated in accordance<br />

with provisions indicated below :<br />

1. Re-employed pensioner shall be allowed to draw pay only in<br />

pay scales of pay for the posts in which they are re-employed.<br />

No protection of the scales of pay of the posts held by them<br />

prior to retirement shall be given.<br />

2. (a) In all the cases where the pension is fully ignored, the initial<br />

pay on re-employment shall be fixed at the minimum of the<br />

scale of pay of the re-employed post.<br />

(b) In cases where the entire pension and pensionary benefits<br />

are not ignored for fixation of pay, the initial pay on re-employment<br />

shall be fixed at the same stage as the last pay drawn<br />

before retirement. If there is no such stage in the scale of reemployed<br />

post, the pay, shall be fixed at the stage next above<br />

the pay last drawn. If the maximum pay of the scale in<br />

which pensioners is re-employed, is less than the last pay<br />

drawn by him, initial pay shall be fixed at the maximum of pay<br />

of the re-employed post. Similarly, if the minimum pay of the<br />

scale in which pensioner is re-employed, is more than the last<br />

pay drawn by him, initial pay shall be fixed at the minimum of<br />

pay of the re-employed post.<br />

(c) In all the cases, the non-ignorable part of the pension shall be<br />

reduced from the pay so fixed.
