Farmet is the largest producer of agricultural
machines for soil processing and sowing in
the Czech Republic. The Farmet agricultural
machines must meet the strictest criteria for
work quality as well as for reliability and long
lifespan. And Czech companies have very
high requirements when it comes to that.
However, Farmet also gains a lot of valuable
experience thanks to that which the
Company can apply on export markets. It is
not only about the machines but also about

Technology for Pressing Vegetable Oils
Farmet is a signifi cant producer of presses
for pressing oil from oilseeds such as the
sunfl ower, rape, soya, fl ax and many other
less known oil plants (Jatropha, sesame, milk
thistle, as well as oil from roses, wine seeds,
strawberry, blackberry etc.).
During 18 years of its existence, Farmet has
developed a whole range of screw presses or
large machines with capacity of up to 20 tons
per hour. Farmet increases the already high
added value of these demanding presses
by its complex approach and plug-and-go
delivery including engineering services.

actuation requires professional abilities
of the Company employees, provision of
fi nances and entire implementation. Farmet
wins commissions in Europe, Russia and
Kazakhstan and is preparing for further
global expansion.

machines includes share cultivators as well
as chisel cultivators, deep cultivators,
machines for presowing soil preparation or
diff erent kinds of crumbling and compacting
rollers. The working coverage of the machines
range from 2.5 to 15.7 meters and it has been
determined for a wide range of tractors with
power from 80 to 600 horses.
Sowing machines also represent a signifi cant
industry as Farmet has been specializing in
the system of share sowing for several years.

This preparation also includes a broadbased
research programme supported by
the TIP project of the Ministry of Industry
and Trade whose object is to theoretically
(mathematically and physically) describe the
processes of pressing in a screw press and
to use the fi ndings in order to increase the
effi ciency of pressing and managing pressing
of other oilseeds which are not so common
and they enable processing soil, placing
seeds and also placing fertilizer in a single
ride.
The Farmet sowing machines off er very high

at the times of continuous increase in the
pressure on decreasing the inputs in primary
agricultural production.
The sowing technology when fertilizer is
applied directly with the seeds was awarded
a gold medal in the GRAND PRIX TECHAGRO
