Setting up a Linux or Solaris Client Chapter 3: License Configuration<br />

– Determine if the SYNPLCTYD_LICENSE_FILE environment variable is<br />

already defined. Enter the following command at the shell prompt:<br />

% echo $SYNPLCTYD_LICENSE_FILE<br />

– If the SYNPLCTYD_LICENSE_FILE variable is undefined, set the<br />

SYNPLCTYD_LICENSE_FILE variable to find your license file using one<br />

of the options below:<br />

5. Verify the path to your license file by entering the following at the shell<br />

prompt:<br />

% echo $SYNPLCTYD_LICENSE_FILE<br />

6. Set your SYNPLCTYD_LICENSE_FILE to start automatically when you log<br />

in by setting the SYNPLCTYD_LICENSE_FILE environment variable in your<br />

shell start-up script (.cshrc, .kshrc, or .profile files).<br />

7. Check the license manager version.<br />

% setenv SYNPLCTYD_LICENSE_FILE<br />

port_number@host_name<br />

$ SYNPLCTYD_LICENSE_FILE=port_number@host_name<br />

$ export SYNPLCTYD_LICENSE_FILE<br />

% setenv SYNPLCTYD_LICENSE_FILE port_number@<br />

host_name1, port_number@host_name2, port_number<br />

@host_name3<br />

$ SYNPLCTYD_LICENSE_FILE=port_number@host_name1,<br />

port_number@host_name2,port_number@host_name3<br />

$ export SYNPLCTYD_LICENSE_FILE<br />
