4. Install the tool software on the client machine.<br />
See Chapter 2, Installation for details.<br />
5. Set the SYNPLCTYD_LICENSE_FILE variable to point to the license.txt<br />
file.<br />
Windows Select Start->Settings->Control Panel->System. Select the Advanced tab<br />
and click Environment Variables. This is a typical user variable entry:<br />
SYNPLCTYD_LICENSE_FILE C:\Program Files\Synplicity\license.txt<br />
6. Start the tool.<br />
– Restart the software.<br />
– Accept the license agreement. You can now begin using your<br />
<strong>Synopsys</strong> <strong>FPGA</strong> software.<br />
– Fill out the Software Registration Form that came with your customer<br />
shipment and return it to <strong>Synopsys</strong>.<br />
