Configuring Serverless Node-Locked Licenses Chapter 3: License Configuration<br />

– Cut and paste the FEATURE line entry that was emailed to you into<br />

the file. If you are using an existing file, append the new FEATURE<br />

information to the existing FEATURE information in the file.<br />

– If email is unavailable, type the FEATURE line information into the<br />

license.txt file from the Software License Authorization Form that<br />

was included with your product shipment or that was FAXed to you.<br />

– If you are using Synplify DSP ASIC Edition, you might need to edit the<br />

license file to avoid conflict with previous Synplify DSP <strong>FPGA</strong>-only<br />

installations. See Setting up Synplify DSP ASIC Edition Licenses, on<br />

page 3-22.<br />

4. Set the SYNPLCTYD_LICENSE_FILE variable.<br />

– Select Start->Settings->Control Panel->System.<br />

– Select the Advanced tab and click Environment Variables.<br />

– Set the SYNPLCTYD_LICENSE_FILE variable to point to the license.txt<br />

file. This is a typical user variable entry:<br />

SYNPLCTYD_LICENSE_FILE C:\Program Files\Synplicity\license.txt<br />

5. Start the tool.<br />

– Restart the software.<br />

– Accept the license agreement. You can now begin using your<br />

<strong>Synopsys</strong> <strong>FPGA</strong> software.<br />

– Fill out the Software Registration Form that came with your customer<br />

shipment and return it to <strong>Synopsys</strong>.<br />
