tribulation and disappo<strong>in</strong>tment forgotten. Inducements<br />

like <strong>the</strong>se, toge<strong>the</strong>r with <strong>the</strong> <strong>in</strong>fluence of pernicious<br />

examples, with<strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> reach of which Carleton<br />

had now cast himself, led him <strong>in</strong>to <strong>in</strong>temperate<br />
