Alas I more hearts shall break-<br />

And all for heaven's dear sakeI<br />

As priests can show,<br />

It must be so.<br />

" Worn and weary,<br />

Cold and dreary,<br />

0, let me bid farewell,<br />

To all this monkish hell:<br />

And go to seek afar,<br />

Some lonely, distant star-<br />

That peace of m<strong>in</strong>d,<br />

I th re may f<strong>in</strong>d.<br />

"Here sa<strong>in</strong>ts we grow,<br />

For hell belowI<br />

Let clergy call it heaven-<br />

Their lies be ne'er forgiven.<br />
