why has he made <strong>the</strong>m so beautiful and so varied 1<br />

Why are <strong>the</strong>y not uniform <strong>in</strong> color, shape, and tex-<br />

ture 1 Why not all sable or drab 1 But see what<br />

brilliant hues, how variously t<strong>in</strong>ted, and delicately<br />

fr<strong>in</strong>ged _and ruffied! Have human hands ever pro-<br />

duced anyth<strong>in</strong>g so exquisitely wrought 1 Here <strong>the</strong>n<br />

is a lesson from nature."<br />
